Refund Notice for Vinestreetstorage.com
This refund notice is the refund policy of Vine & Elliott, LP, doing business as Vine Street Storage, and referred to throughout this notice below as Vine Street. This refund notice discloses the refund practices for the business, Vine Street Storage, and its website, vinestreetstorage.com. This refund notice applies solely to customers renting storage units from Vine Street Storage.
Vine Street has developed a refund policy that we consider fair for both parties. In summary:
- If you vacate during the first half of the month, there is a prorated refund for the remainder of the month.
- If you vacate during the second half of the month, then sorry, there is no prorated refund.
Month-to-Month Term
Per your rental agreement that you signed at move in, the rental term is month-to-month and renews automatically on the first day of each month.
7 Days’ Notice To Vacate
Per your rental agreement, you agree to provide 7 days’ notice to vacate your storage unit. The notice may be written, emailed, verbal by telephone, or verbal in person at the storage office.
If you do not give 7 days’ notice to vacate, it will be applied automatically. For example: if you vacate on the 5th day of the month without giving notice, the 7 days’ notice will be added to the 5th day of the month to derive an effective vacate date of the 12th of the month.
Prorated Refund If Vacating During The First Half Of The Month
If you provide 7 days’ notice and vacate your unit on or before the 15th of the month, you will receive a prorated refund for the remaining balance of the current month.
No Refund If Vacating During The Second Half Of The Month
If you provide 7 days’ notice and vacate your unit on or after the 16th of the month, no prorated refund will be given.
If you do not give 7 days’ notice to vacate, it will be applied automatically. Under certain circumstances, your actual vacate date during the first half of the month can result in an effective date after the 15th of the month. For example: if you vacate on the 10th day of the month without giving notice, the 7 days’ notice will be added to the 10th day of the month to derive an effective vacate date of the 17th of the month. Since the 17th falls in the second half of the month, no prorated refund will be issued.
Refunds For Prepaid Months
Some customers elect to prepay their storage rent for two or more months in advance. In that case, regardless of the vacate date for the current month, each additional prepaid month will be refunded. If the prepaid months are part of a Six Month Prepayment for 10% Off, Vine Street reserves the right to adjust the refund to reflect discounts given but not actually earned.
Refunds Paid By Check Only
All refunds take 3-4 weeks to process and are paid by check only. The check will be mailed to the customer address on file in our storage management system.
